I was thinking about this as well. I've heard that the Reel 'em In: Cast for Cash had a "high score table" -- which was represented by the size of the fish.

There are some games in the past that have had high score features. For example, an old WMS reel game called "Winning Streak" had the biggest wins listed in the high score table (top 10). I could be wrong, but I thought Ay Caramba may have had a RESPIN high score as well.

IGT experimented with an old game called RICH GIRL -- where the top number of RESPINS was recorded for that game.

Back to Lord of the Rings. If it was a global high score table, I wonder how difficult it would be for a regular user to place in the top ten ... when thousands or millions of spins take place every day? Still. That kind of high score is pretty cool. Based on the billions of combinations possible, it would be really cool to know the best hits possible.

This morning I saw someone hit over $675 on the Gandalf's Fireworks bonus. They were betting 160 credits. I forget what the winning combo was, but they got 3 wilds that combined for 50x and won over $500 just on that spin.

Someone else yesterday got 75x with 3 wilds, but I was too far down the row to see what they won.

I finally got to play the Staircase bonus (sorry, I've never seen the movies or read the books, so I can't remember the character's name). Unfortunately, I've never made it past the 7th step.

I can report that the wild symbols do NOT block the phials from appearing on the 5th reel. I initially thought that was the case (and that once you got the 3rd wild on the 5th reel...step 10 I think, you were unable to get more spins). I finally did get a phial on a wild symbol, So I guess all the other times I was just unlucky.

Glad to hear the WILDS do not block. It's rare I will turn away a WILD, but on some games, they block a re-trigger ... that drives me nuts on Silver Sword ... however, it is still one of my favorite games!

I played the Isildur's Sword bonus and completed it and was awarded $240 completion bonus and won $342 in total on that bonus.

Just a few spins later I managed to get another bonus round and chose the Prancing Pony. I chose a door with 11 beds. I managed to keep 9 of the beds from the ring wraiths and won $295 total on that bonus.

So in a matter of about 8 minutes, I had won close to $650 playing LOTR, and I did manage to take $500 home with me from that game.

I am going back this coming Friday and will play the Balrog bonus for the first time. Wish me luck!

Regarding big wins on lord of The Rings.The first time that I played it at a casino in Vegas a week ago, I hit for $418.00 on Gandalfs fireworks on a 40 cent bet. My husband hit for 94.00 also on the fireworks bonus. Everytime we play there are plenty of good bonus rounds. We always play the minimum of 40 cents. We totally love this game. We've played it in Laughlin and State Line too. I believe it is at Harrah's San Diego "Rincon" also.
