BILLL, I feel your pain. I live in LV too and yes Stations is taking out the LOTR Two Towers all over the place (Rampart took them out last week). The Palms still has 2 machines and they are by the poker room. Although i appreciate the "dinosaur" games I too often wonder why a popular game has to go and a dinosaur remains, or worse yet, and I've seen this, a fun game like The Godfather gets taken out and an older bank of games gets put in (Life of Luxury progressive) and then has a "hot new game" signage put on it. A nerve!

Bill- I know for a fact that santa fe station still has two of the two towers, they just moved them near the hotel lobby, right next to party train and sex and the city.

Shamus, the only issue I have is the lack of a Thanksgiving Trophy. And the fact I've been 2 miles from the Ents for about 1 1/2 months. The second is just timing, I know. But the first seems to be a glich not soon to be fixed.

LOTR disappearing and I've not got started on TT yet. "Mars" all but gone, and I've only got to play that one on one trip to Vegas. Star Trek can no longer be found in many places. What's going on?? I guess the masses are not as thrilled about these games as I am.

Thankfully my local go-to seems determined to keep LOTR. I played my first marathon session last week. I sat down next to a very outgoing guy who has lots of mathematical theories on how to play the game. He likes to vary his bets, collect power spins and only use them at 1x, etc. He never expects to see the ring in column four, doesn't think Frodo Wilds are worth much, and loves the Dead Marshes bonus round. I put my $20 in and played for over an hour. I left with $10, picked up a couple of miles but no new trophies. He was only a few miles from the end and he had never been on players life. Hopefully he will check it out and log-in. Another contributor from Northern California would be nice.

You got your money's worth on the LOTR game!! Wish there were some machines around here. I'm still stuck on mile 110, having not played the game since last July. Won't get to play again until April, when I go to Vegas. Hope the LOTR games are still around!

I like to vary my bets too, since I don't have a huge bankroll and I prefer to stretch things out. I'll raise the bets if things are going well and every now and then take a stab at a max-bet. I don't like the Frodo Wilds spin. I've gotten a few decent payouts, but it seems to me that Frodos come up alot on regular spins, but almost never show up when I try the power spin. As for the other power spins, I like to save them and use them at higher multipliers, especially the ring booster, since with varying bets, its hard to time it where you have a high-multiplier when the bonus triggers normally.

Funny thing happened last week while I was in Vegas. I was having a bad session - the Legolas Arrows/Fell Beast features rarely came up and produced little, the bonus feature was just NOT coming around for me and six booster spins in a row failed to trigger it. And when I finally did trigger a bonus, I got a measly 210 credits with Gandalf's Fireworks. To my left, a man was gesturing towards me asking what to do. I looked over and he was on the Select a Bonus screen. He didn't speak English, so I pointed at the screen, to indicate he needed to choose one by touching the screen. Well, he ended up pushing everything. Within a few minutes, he triggered it again and ended up picking the Isildur's Sword bonus and was touching everything like he was playing whack-a-mole. And to my surprise (and frustration), he formed the sword for the 3000 credit bonus. I was so mad, I was about to break the beer bottle in hand. I ended up staying on the machine longer than I should've as a result.

That's how it goes I suppose. Fortunately, I did get a nice 32,000 credit win earlier on the Great and Powerful Oz game. So, I was playing with what I had won.

Hi Shamus how awful that the towers is disappearing I have not got over to vegas and will hopefully be going next May, it could be gone and I never played it!!

However at least I get to play on Jackpot party site I enjoy the wizard of oz and goldfish and many others but they do not have LOTR I really hope they get that one and soon do you know if they will be putting any new games on the site? ie ruby slippers penguines attack from mars see if you can find out anytrhing please.
