I have a Power Spin question. I was playing this game at The Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh over the weekend and was playing 40 lines at 5X (I couldn't bring myself to play 10X) when I got a Frodo Wild Power Spin. When I used it I picked the 5X option to use all 5 of them. My question is this, what is the difference between 1X and 5X? Does it act like you are playing 5 coins per line?

Hi DanFielding:

You are right on.

When you are awarded a POWER SPIN, you get the same number of SPINS as you were betting at the time. If you are playing 5x and you get FRODO WILDS, then you can spin 5 at once ... 5 spins at 1x ... 2 spins (one at 2x, one at 5x), etc.

If you were playing 5x, a power spin at 5x would have the save effect as what you have been playing all along. Hope for the TREE WILDS ... they can lead to some very big wins! My favorite!

Thanks for the question!

Posted by: The_Shamus The day is here! Lord of the Rings: Two Towers made its debut at the Hollywood (Florida) Hard Rock Casino!

I realize that this is an older post, but the subject is fresh, especially in my area. The LOTR:TTT was installed at Cliff Castle Casino here in AZ sometime in the last month or so. And, I AIN'T HAPPY!

I have 3 criticisms:

  1. The last time I played here on Player's Life for miles, I got up to ~46 miles. I saw that TTT was installed at Cliff Castle and went to play. I found myself at mile 74! What happened to the other 28 miles? I enjoyed earning them, not having them given to me because they installed a new version.

  2. Also, I expected some continuity between the 2 versions. I didn't expect a completely different game, with what I think are new payline versions. I think someone messed up here. This game plays like a completely different game, and even the math model seems to be different.

On the random features, I see "Legolas' Arrows" is still an active one. I don't know about Gollum -- I didn't see him. A nearby player got a Nazgul flying beast. WTH is that?

  1. Another criticism is that the graphics (artwork) is much more "Hildebrandt" and less film than the graphics on FOTR. I liked the movie art. Did they have to pay New Line cinema or the actors too much in royalties to use their images?

Now, the last question is: Are they going to do the same thing when the next version comes out? (ROTK, #3)

Hi eruadan:

Thanks for your thoughtful post on TWO TOWERS. I'll answer what I can ...

Cool to hear that TWO TOWERS is still seeing newe installations!

re: mile 74

Two Towers introduced more BONUS ROUNDS. While regular TWO TOWERS players would earn plenty of miles and eventually unlock all of the miles for TWO TOWERS on their own, there are still "first time" players who would have to start from scratch. A decision was made to start everyone from 74 miles. It's still a long path ... but this opens more bonuses for first timers.

As far as I know the paylines and math did not change. The graphics did change ... and personal preference comes into play. It's going to be a while before the next installment is released. It will be interesting to see what KirkKirk (the designer) will go with.

re: A nearby player got a Nazgul flying beast. WTH is that?

The math appears to be the same ... a new random bonus. Cool. /site_media/images/emoticons/smile

Thanks so much for your comments ... others may have some other reactions!

Hi eruadan:

It's not your fault ... it's the way the "tags" etc. work under the covers here. You post was easy to read.

Thanks.

Holy Smokes Folks, I just looked at the Leaderboard and all 5 of the high winners won in Gandalf's Fireworks. The highest one being $273,400. I played Gandalf's Fireworks 3 times this past weekend and the highest amount I won was $6.95 and I was playing MAX bet.

$273,400? WHOA.

I've racked my brain for possibilities on how to get this outcome.

So if you get three wild symbols what is the max possible multipler.

I am not sure as I have never been there but the highest multiplier I have seen is 25x. What would happen with 25x and wild cards?
