Hey Shamus you are totally right I do make that basis on that. I guess I need to stick to machines that give more smaller steady payout since the large payouts happen so rarely. happy new year!
Hi oneofakind:
Fact is -- most players are going to decide whether they like a game based on a $20 bill. If a player really likes a theme ... they might hang in there.
So, I don't blame you for your picks. It does sound like you prefer the smaller, more frequent payout types of machines. Nothing wrong with that!
However, if we are talking about the amount that a machine pays out overall ... it all balances out in the end. Just wanted to give everyone something to think about.

For me, it's Rome and Egypt and Lancelot. The games are not visually appealing with the stretch bonus characters (up to three lines), and the graphics are disappointing. But the game with the worst graphics has to be Sabertooth. What were they thinking!

You didn't see anything worse in 2010?

Sex in The City was a big disappointment.
Ate money and little return.
Also Airplane and Jackpot Block Party.
Hi oceana11:
Get ready for a big steaming pile of more. IGT is launching all sorts of MultiPlay games this year. Plenty of people are reporting a MultiPlay version of "Kitty Glitter" hitting the casino floor right now.
The issue is the large minimum bet -- but when the bonus launches on one of 4 screens, the payout is really based on 1/4 of your bet. Players seem to like the hit frequency, and apparently are not bothered (so far), that most wins never break $100 on a $2 bet (50-to-1).
Since it was a hit game ... expect sequels and clones from competitors.

AMERICAN IDOL!!!! WORST GAME EVER!!!!]
Hi btvend:
Is that based on first hand experience, or a loathing of the show?

Shamus, This is exactly why I am not a fan of these Multi-play games. I'd much rather bet $2 on one machine and get the bonus based off of my $2 bet.
Hi JPPARTYMAN:
Great to have you posting on the site! Always love your insight!
On of my favorite games is "Silver Sword". The key difference between this game and others -- a WILD or BONUS trigger are carried from the main screen to the other screens. This sometimes results in a 12x multipler, which can result in some "crazy good" wins.
It looks like the Aristocrat games like "more hearts" or "more chilli" follow a similar idea.
This approach results in a game which is much more cohesive. If you are familiar with poker game from IGT with 100 hands. The game works because the cards kept in the main hand are carried over to the other 100 hands. If you deal 100 hands from 100 decks -- you are just playing 100 hands of poker. It's helpful to the casino, because it more effeciently eats your bankroll but there isn't much in it for the player.
I have not seen the Kitty Glitter MultiPlay yet ... so, I will be interested to see if IGT has modified their approach.

I also am a huge fan of "Silver Sword". Even though this last time in Vegas it did not do well for me at all. Biggest duds of 2010 - Price is Right, American Idol, Sex in the City and the newer Monopoly games.
Hi tiggy:
No doubt, "Silver Sword" can frustrate. The 12x multiplier is tough to land ... but features like that are "paid for" through the regular base game. It's very very streaky, and that means it is less likely to be on a casual player's list. I like the graphics and sound in that game as well.
What is it about "The Price Is Right" that you feel make it a dud?
