I'm not sure I completely understand the question. Which version of Wizard of Oz do you play? Is it the progessives like, "Wicked Riches"?

Are you looking for the odds of landing the BONUS ROUND with the tornado? I'm not 100% sure whether someone is going to be able to answer the question for you.

If you can provide a bit more information, some of the regular players might be able to make an estimate.

The Tornado Bonus on the Wicked Riches is as random as any bonus to me. I will probably get two "free spin" bonuses every tornado bonus, on average. It seems to be the same on the Glinda Good Witch and the Yellow Brick Road machines.

When this bonus hits, you get one pick to try to advance to the progressive pays. Where I have played, the machine is in 1cent denomination, and you can choose 40,80,120,240, or 320. I am pretty sure the more you bet, the more chances to get a progressive during the bonus. For example, getting the bonus while betting .40, you get a 1/8 chance at selecting the progressives. 80 cents will give you 2/8 chance. Up to 5/8 for a max (320) bet.

Earlier this year (January), I hit the emerald progressive at Wynn Las Vegas with a .80 bet. When betting max you get a progressive right away and then a bonus credit pick at the end. I won the 3rd highest progressive plus about 800 credits. The progressive amount is totally random though, some people get the highest progressive on a .40 cent bet.

Thanks for the info on the tornado bonus. When playing ruby slippers I try to stop the 5th wheel when I see the rainbow colors that appear when a Oz character is going to appear, and hope at the same time another character appears on one of the other four wheels to get to the bonus.I guess I should just let the wheels stop themselves because I have no decent jackpots to share.

Stopping the reels has no real impact, aside from completing the spin sooner ... however, since it doesn't hurt anything -- there's nothing stopping you.

Some players really like to stop the reels, so the manufacturers keep delivering that functionality!
