I have lost 200$ on this game and am on mile 75 only because I played for free at home.
Im trying to avoid the casinos atm. lol
Hi TSUKASA:
Like all casino games, over the long haul, there are going to be more losers than winners.
I always encourage people to only play what they can afford -- and keep things fun.
Hopefully that is the case for you ... and I wish you plenty of luck!

During the early evening hours between 5-10 pm, I had seen more people in the 30-50 age bracket playing on it. I'd say it was a 50-50 split between male & female. I was eye-balling that machine because I had wanted to get on it! There are only 2 in that casino so.... Since I'm more of a player that prefers to play during the wee hours of the night, I had no problem getting on that game around 2:00am without a problem. I'm 52 yrs. old. Shortly after, an older lady came & sat on the one next to me....she seemed to be in her 70's! She loved it! She stayed on for another 20 minutes then cashed out after her 3rd big win. After her, another older lady in her 60's sat next to me and played for about an hour! After her, an older gentleman in his mid 70's was playing! When I got up to leave, (only because we were leaving to go home in another 5 hours), he was still there playing and I gotta say...he was like a little kid, really enjoying that game! So it goes to show ya...people of ALL ages do enjoy that game tremendously!!!

Hi pl8n2win:
Thanks for sharing that information! I think some people doubted the ability of this title to engage the over 65 crowd. Sounds like this is not the case at all.
Out of curiousity, are there saving their game, or playing anonymously? Did they seem to have any difficulty with this aspect of the game?

I've got to say, the most successful target audience for this title seems to be middle-aged folks. I've played this game for many hours now, and while young people seem to enjoy it in spurts, they don't seem to want to stick around and play the whole experience.
On the other end of the spectrum, I can't count the number of times an elderly person has walked away from the machine in frustration. There are enough differences from other machines that it takes them a while to sort out what's going on. Give them a power spin and it's trouble. I try and help as many people as I can because I think the machine truly is a unique experience. I just don't see a large segment of this part of the gambling population playing along online and judging the depth of the experience for what it is.
In regards to a comment earlier in the thread - nothing irks me more in a casino than stalkers. If I'm at a machine, I want to play at MY denomination and my pace. It's a casino - there are literally thousands of machines to play and enjoy. I have walked by LOTR on a Monday morning and it's been packed. I've walked by on a Saturday night at 11:00 and seen multiple seats empty. Be patient and try something else. I've discovered some of my favorite machines after moving to them after another favorite was "full".
And when I'm playing next to someone, and they're doing something or get something exciting, you bet I'm going to enjoy it along with them. I'm not sitting at the machine to make money, I'm sitting there to have fun and be entertained. Sharing that feeling with others is part of the casino experience. It's one reason why I could NEVER play at an online casino. That element is a huge part of the experience.
My husband and I are in the 25-35 age range - and we play it everytime we go gambling. Unfortunately we don't always win - but its still VERY fun!!

Hi gmstrawn:
I promise I will not try to guess who is 25, and who is 35! haha
If you do find the slot that you always win on, don't tell anyone, or you will never be able to get on it!
Glad you are having fun. Snap a picture for us sometime!

I love this game, I have found myself playing for 6 - 7 hours at crack. I just cannot get enough of this game
Play at a local indian casino (won't say where cause there is always a line to play. The average age 40 to 60 with many repeat players. Most new players start play without logging in. If they play long enough to earn miles there is usually an experienced player who will extol the value of logging in (to keep track of miles to make additional bonuses available if they plan to play again in the future). There does seem to be some confusion as most players want to just play without paying attention to the many instructions. The more experienced players seem anxious to help and this tends to build community with players rooting for each other during bonuses. It is a very fun game with the gambling element enhancing the thrill. Is it a design flaw or feature? The seats are hard so may induce some turnover of players. Play On!

Hi Folks:
I was hoping you could help me. We are having a friendly discussion (on Slot Machines Forum) about what age group plays, "Lord of the Rings". It seems like it is aimed at a younger audience ... but is this actually the case?
From your experience ... what is the mix of players you see playing it? What split of men and women? What age groups -- under 30, 30-40, 40-50, 50-60, 60+?
I'm curious to know ... is this primarly a younger persons game ... or a game that everyone is enjoying?
Thanks.
