Our local casino took out the LOTR machines (can you imagine? People lined up to play!) and so we are just jonesing for our trip to Vegas in a few weeks. I was hoping that Super Team would be on the strip by then since we are flying instead of driving. Wait and hope, I guess. /site_media/images/emoticons/smile

shadesi,

Hi. You are in luck! The slot finder now shows more Super Team locations in Vegas:

Good luck in Vegas!

I wanted to update my experiences with Super Team from my recent trip to Las Vegas. The closest location that had the game was South Point Hotel & Casino, and I can verify that it is connected to the Player's Life network as of June 18th. (We initially went to check it out on June 17th, but it wasn't connected at that time. I still played on one of their two machines for several hours and had a blast.) They had two machines in the main hallway that connects the casino with the hotel, and it's very close to the Clue and Aladin machines.

Observations: Player's Life - Main observation is that unless you are familiar with the Player's Life network, you aren't going to enjoy the game fully. I saw people doing silly things with their character and having trouble making sense of the inital login window that comes up when you sit down and put cash in. Most people want to put their money in and go. However, when you have an experienced person sitting down next to you and are interested in hearing about PL, the experience can grow exponentially.

Emerald vs. Ruby - I tried switching my time between the two teams to see if I could notice a difference in volitility. Over several hours of playtime on both days, I didn't notice that much more frequency of Emerald heros appearing. However, I can definitely say that the payoff from Ruby is significantly greater than Emerald, especially when you get a combo appearance.

Bonus Game trigger - My observation was that half of the bonus games I played were started from the 3 icons, and half from a trigger from one of the heros.

Payout - As with all slot machines, you will have dry spells and super lucky sessions. As the song goes, "You got know when to hold them. Know when to fold them. Know when to walk away." The only problem is that you don't know if you can play when you want to walk back if there are only a few machines available.

Bonus Game - Tunnel - I really didn't like this game very much. The instructions say to hold down the button to keep steady, tap the button to go up, and release the button to drift down. Yet, every time I would push the button in once, I would take off like Superman. I had to find a delicate balance of drifting up and down, and I did okay the few times I played the game. I never managed to get a speed boost to get to the next zone, so my interest level was very low. I even watched one elderly lady sit back and watch the bonus game and never hit the button once. (Another example of people not wanting to read instructions before a bonus game.)

Bonus Game - Robot Combat - (I know that these aren't their actual bonus game names, but a short summary is good enough.) My first time playing this resulted in 0 credits. I got no pay-outs in three spins, and I was back to spending my money. I have to say that I started to reconsider the game when I watched someone else play the game and found it interesting. If you get a payline, you get a hit on the robot. If you don't, you still have a chance of ducking the attack from the robot. Each robot that you take down gives you a bonus amount and moves you onto another one that has more payouts. In addition, after each robot, you regain one energy. Unless you have good hand-eye coordination, This bonus game is the one to play. (At least until you unlock Slotopolis.)

Bonus Game - Slotopolis - This game is originally locked, but if you earn enough Hero Points, you can unlock it. (Just a side note: if you're not logged in but you keep playing long enough on a station, you can still unlock it.) This, by far, was my favorite bonus game. First things first, the Super Team you work with here is the opposite team that you have selected when you go in. It definitely makes things interesting. (I found myself choosing to play with Emerald Team so I can have Ruby Team in the bonus.) As you may know, every icon that has the burglar stealing a gem will result in the gem being picked up and crushed to give you more free spins. Each gem will produce between 1-5 extra spins, and I don't believe that credits per line influence how many more spins you get for each gem. You can land multiple gems in one spin, too. You initially start out with 5 spins, and the highest I got in one round was 40. These bonus rounds will typically see an increase in hero turn-out as well. And the frequency of double appearances are higher here, but they are no guarantee.

Overall, the game is fun and very addictive. Every time you hear that super-hero call to help, I perked up and felt like a kid watching Saturday morning cartoons again. It is tough to get up and leave the machine, because you don't know if it will be open when you come back. However, once more machines come out, I won't mind taking a break every once in a while.

More details to come about the individual heros and what they do. I can't wait to get back to Vegas and try my luck again.

mardowasan,

My experience with Super Team almost mirrors yours! (I even had one of those dreaded $0 bonus.) Slotroplois is the bonus I almost always choose since the potential for additional spins mixed with heroes dropping down onto the reels during the bonus is too tempting for me.

I hope everyone else is having fun playing this great game, too!
